Wayne Lugo

Co Owner

Wayne Lugo is co-owner of 3L Ag, LLC. He has 35+ years’ experience in agriculture-related businesses, including calf raising and beef cattle feed lot management. He and co-owner and brother Eddie represent the 10th generation of Lugo family members involved in the California agriculture industry. Wayne oversees the Operations, Cattle Management and Compliance functions at 3L Ag and enjoys implementing innovative equipment applications and processes designed to maximize 3L Ag operational performance. In addition to 3L Ag ownership and management responsibilities, Wayne enjoys racing, participating in cattle shows and working with key partners to improve cattle genetics.

Eddie Lugo

Co Owner

Eddie Lugo is co-owner of 3L Ag, LLC. He has over 30 years of diverse agricultural industry experience, including calf raising, feedlot management and farming. In addition to his agricultural background, Eddie has deep experience in property acquisition, disposition and management, focused on identifying and acquiring key properties that support the growth of 3L Ag, LLC. Eddie also leads the customer procurement activities of the company, identifying and obtaining customers supporting our bakery feedstock, product destruction and material recycling programs. In addition, he oversees our Trucking business unit, working with in-house and external resources providing the most cost-effective and efficient transportation to support the business.

Brian Thelen

Chief Administrative Officer

Brian Thelen is the Chief Administrative Officer of 3L Ag, LLC. Brian’s background includes 35+ years’ experience leading finance, compliance and risk management functions across a diverse range of multi-national public companies, including consumer products, automotive, waste management/recycling and life sciences. Brian brings a wealth of knowledge of financial reporting, internal control, business process improvement, risk management, human resources and other key administrative functions gained during his years working in turnaround and start-up assignments. Brian is responsible for overseeing the key administrative functions of 3L Ag, LLC and also has significant involvement in material pricing and customer contracting activities.

Peter Frantz

Chief Financial Officer

Peter Frantz is the Chief Financial Officer of 3L Ag LLC and has spent more than 13 years in senior financial leadership roles, serving as both Controller and CFO across complex agricultural and operating businesses. His experience spans day-to-day financial management, team leadership, and hands-on operational support for the growing business. He is known for a practical, detail-driven approach, strong internal controls, and working closely with ownership and management to provide clear financial insight and support long-term strategic growth.

Dean Lima

Operations Manager

Dean Lima is the Operations Manager at 3L Ag, LLC. With over 25 years of dairy and farming experience, Dean brings a wealth of knowledge in feed production, livestock management, logistics and physical plant construction and maintenance. In addition to his farming experience, Dean has deep logistical and transportation knowledge developed his time as an owner/operator of his family’s dairy farm and trucking company. Dean is responsible for the oversight of our Product Destruction/Recycling and Feed Mill business units and has overall responsibility for construction management and equipment maintenance.

Kolbe Lugo

Feedlot Manager

Kolbe Lugo is the Feedlot Manager at 3L Ag LLC and has grown up on the ranch, witnessing its transformation from a calf operation into a thriving feedlot. He brings hands-on experience and strong leadership to the day-to-day operations, overseeing cattle care, inventory management, and team execution. With deep knowledge of receiving, shipping, and operational planning, he uses practical, data-driven insights from the feedlot’s information systems to maintain efficiency while supporting continued growth and expanded capacity.

Bradley Booker

Logistics Manager

Bradley Booker is the Logistics Manager at 3L Ag LLC. He began his career learning logistics on a family-run California Central Valley livestock sale yard and later joined 3L Ag as a team lead, where he quickly demonstrated strong leadership and operational capability. He brings more than 17 years of experience in customer service roles refining logistics and coordination. His background also includes facilitating chemical sales and deliveries for major vendors throughout California’s Central Valley. With roughly a decade of experience managing teams, he is highly experienced in working with outside vendors and tailoring solutions to meet individual customer needs. Today, Bradley oversees logistics operations on the ranch and is the primary point of contact for getting things done efficiently and reliably.

Melissa Hieronymus

Office Manager

Melissa Hieronymus is the Office Manager at 3L Ag LLC and brings more than 25 years of experience leading office and accounting operations. Her background also includes managing the full financial operations of a small business, giving her hands-on experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking that directly complements her role at 3L Ag. At 3L Ag she oversees all administrative functions that keep the organization running smoothly, including office systems, financial administration, and day-to-day coordination. She also supervises and supports a team of employees, ensuring efficient workflows, clear communication, and consistent operational support across the business..
